It only came 22 hours later than expected, but Cate and I have departed Sterling.
We got everything on the list done ... more or less .. and are sitting in an Applebee's in Washington, Pa.
Lots to tell and when we stop for the night I'll try to get some words down. Cate is too tired to talk right now and I am running on adrenaline and caffeine.

I hope to have photos in your mailbox by then, waiting for the other half to return with the kids and my laptop charger - battery's nearly dead.

So we ended up getting all the way to Columbus, though it was not our intent. There's some event in Cambridge, Ohio, where we'd intended to stop, as well as traffic from the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductions, so there was no room at the inn.
We have 550 miles to go, not quite halfway down. Since we got just four hours of sleep last night we're pretty beat, but Cate has been a trooper, seeing as we went more than 400 miles today. How many depends on which car you believe: Cate's car registers about 3% more mileage than mine has over the course of the trip.
And to the brother who referred to our other car as a gas guzzler: It got 30 mpg on its first tank of the trip.
Be safe and drop me a email when you get in to MN. Enjoy the reunion!
We arrived!
Tired.
Sleep.
Congratulations, well done! I hope you get some well deserved sleep. The kids will be thrilled to see both of you. Talk with you later in the day.
