Poor Robert; it's hard being six. And poor Elizabeth; it's hard having a little brother. And poor Colleen, who sits between the two. Yesterday was a non-stop kind of day for us. Not so much running around doing errands, but constant doing stuff around the house.
Robert was "on" all day. Finally, on the way back from tae kwon do Elizabeth had had enough. "Can't you stop talking for just a minute?! It's so annoying!" Colleen chimes in, "Yeah, it's annoying Robert."
Robert very seriously answered, "But I have so many questions and I need to know the answers."
He also got to sit in on Elizabeth's tae kwon do class. So far he's been with the under 6 crowd. He did really well in his first traditional class. He worked hard to keep up with the much higher ranking belts. Afterward he said "That was hard." His instructor tried to put a positive spin on it by saying "Challenging huh?" Robert was not to be swayed, "Yeah challenging but also very hard."
It's difficult to quote Robert without using all italics because he emphasizes everything.

Annoying is, unfortunately, Colleen and Robert's new favorite word for each other. :(
Having both been and had a younger sibling, I can safely say both that being one is tough and that having one is annoying.
At least when you're 10.
Ah how soon the elder sibling forgets her days of non-stop chatter, questions to infinity, and the quest for all the answers!
Great to hear Robert is resisting the power of elders to have his curiosity squelched.
Our version2.0 is highly "annoyed" that version1.0 is smarter, gets to do more first, can read bigger books, etc.
If v1 had her way, v2 would get nothing, know nothing new, and be forced to follow the v1 leader ways all the time.
So, yeah, I can see how it is annoying from both sides, especially for the parents :)

I completely sympathize with you, Robert. I always asked a lot of questions, too, (I am still asking questions), but I was the first one born in my family, so it was not as hard as it is for you.
Bring your questions to Minnesota when you move here, ask me those questions, and I will try to help you find the answers to them. But know that not all questions have answers that you can get right away. Sometimes it takes years to get the right answer to a question. That is why god gave people a long life, so they could get the anwers to the important questions.
